WINNIPEG, MB., January 29, 2021 – Valour FC today selects goalkeeper third overall in the 2021 CPL-U SPORTS Draft. By drafting this player, the club will now have the option to bring him into preseason camp and explore the possibilities of a developmental contract.

With their first pick, third overall, Valour FC Head Coach & GM Rob Gale selected Yuba-Rayane Yesli (goalkeeper) out of the University of Montreal.

Yesli, 21, is a 6’7” goalkeeper playing in his first season with the University of Montreal. The goalkeeper spent time with Vibonese Calcio (Serie D), helping them earn promotion to Serie C during his tenure with the club.

“We’re very pleased to get Rayane with our first pick.” said Valour FC Head Coach & GM Rob Gale. “Rayane has a lot of good attributes, and we’re excited for him to compete for a spot alongside our other goalkeepers.”
