Valour FC re-sign fullbacks Federico Peña and Andy Baquero

Valour FC today announce that the club has re-signed Canadian fullback Federico Peña and Cuban fullback Andy Baquero.

Peña, 22, made 26 appearances for a total of 1,420 minutes played and one assist in 2021.

“I’m excited to return to Valour this year,” said Valour FC fullback Federico Peña. “This is my city. I love the people here, I love the environment and I can’t wait to pursue a championship with my teammates.”

In 2019, Peña made eight appearances for a total of 315 minutes played, followed by six appearances for 326 minutes played at the Island Games in Prince Edward Island in 2020.

The fullback first joined Valour FC on April 3, 2019 from Royal Standard de Liège (Belgian First Division).

Internationally, Peña is a member of the Trinidad & Tobago National Team, making an appearance in a friendly against USA on February 1st, 2021.

Baquero, 27, made 23 appearances for a total of 1,830 minutes played and one goal in 2021.

The fullback first joined Valour FC on June 26, 2021 from Delfines del Este FC (LDF Banco Popular).

Internationally, Baquero has made 27 appearances for the Cuba men’s national team, totalling 2,303 minutes played and three goals.
