Valour FC sign Canadian goalkeeper Darlington Murasiranwa

Valour FC today announces the club has signed Canadian goalkeeper Darlington Murasiranwa to a standard player contract through the end of the 2023 season, with a club option for 2024.

Murasiranwa, 22, joins Valour after most recently representing FC London in League1 Ontario, where he made 16 appearances for the club in 2023.

Murasiranwa joins Valour with previous Canadian Premier League experience under his belt after playing for FC Edmonton in 2021 and 2022. He appeared in 14 matches overall for the Eddies, earning two clean sheets and a spot in the CPL’s Team of the Week in week 25 of the 2022 season.

A native of Zimbabwe who later lived in South Africa, Murasiranwa moved to Edmonton when he was 13 years old. He split his time between the FC Edmonton and Vancouver Whitecaps academy systems before turning professional with the Eddies in 2021. He was named to the league’s The Next Gen: Future Stars of the Canadian Premier League Class of 2022, presented by Jones DesLaurier and Navacord, last December.
